Helpful Expert Reply:
Yes, the MagnaFlow Stainless Steel, Straight-Through Universal Muffler # MF12771 is a good fit for your 2007 Chevy Silverado New Body with a DuraMax diesel engine. It has the correct 4 inch diameter inlet and outlet and is designed for the hotter exhaust requirements of diesel engines. This is a 20 inch long muffler with a body diameter of 7 inches so it will about the same loudness as what you have now. It won't be like those super loud obnoxious diesel engines you hear.
