What is the recommended mounting depth of coupler into trailer collar?

The Bulldog Collar-Lok Coupler w/ High-Profile Latch - 2" Ball - Round Tongue - 5,000 lbs # BD028381 doesn't actually have a recommended mounting depth. The reason for that is this is a weld-on application so it simply needs to be mounted in a way that will allow a proper weld.
