Compatibility of Pace Edwards JackRabbit Hard Tonneau Cover with 5th Wheel Adapter

Question:

I found some older reviews of the Pace Edwards JackRabbit Hard Tonneau Cover - Retractable and some complained about rattling at highway speeds when closed. Is this still true or an issue with an old issue? What is the amount inside the bed rails taken up when open? I have the Andersen Ultimate Hitch with the adapter forward the kingpin and wanted to verify before ordering clearance of the king box in my 2019 F350 CC SB. Also Id there and installation issues with the same truck with Fords spray in bed liner on a Lariat model?

We haven't come across any reported rattling issues with any of the Pace Edwards JackRabbit Hard Tonneau Covers so you can rest assured this is a great choice. The correct fit for your 2019 Ford F-350 with a 6-1/2 foot bed is # 311-JRFA18A44. This is a manual retractable cover and it's constructed of padded ArmorTek deck laminated to rigid aluminum panels which gives you the best of both worlds: soft-cover look with hard-cover security.

The width of the rails of the Pace Edwards JackRabbit Hard Tonneau Cover Item # 311-JRFA18A44 is approximately 2.5 inches wide so that takes up about 5 inches overall. Keep in mind some of it will sit on top your truck bed rail on either side. Whether you have enough turning clearance or not will be determined by the style and length of your pinbox. You also want to make sure the highest point of your 5th wheel hitch or adapter is 2" below the bed rails. If you do not have enough clearance, the best option is to replace your current pinbox with a Sidewinder but that also means replacing your Andersen adapter with an actual 5th wheel hitch since Sidewinders are not compatible with 5th wheel adapters. I have attached a couple of articles that you may find helpful.

The spray-in bed liner on your Ford Lariat will not interfere with the installation of the JackRabbit Tonneau Cover.
