Upgraded Trailer Hitch for 2019 Forest River FR3 Motorhome
Question:
I am looking to put a more sturdy hitch on my 2019 Forest River R V which is on a Ford 53 Chassis. The hitch that came with the R V is rated at 500 lbs tongue weight and 5000 tow weight. The weight of the boat and trailer is combined at 4500 Lbs. Do you a hitch that would be suitable for this? Thank You for your help.

The best option we can offer you is the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 41991-16 which has a 16,000 lb weight capacity. In order to install this hitch you will need to have it either bolted or welded to the frame. We do not offer any custom fit trailer hitch options for this motorhome which is why you will need to bolt or weld the above on.
