Recommended Tire Chains for 255/85R16 Dually Tires on a 2001 Ford F-350
Question:
Hi- Im interested in understanding what options you sell for equipping my F350 2001 Dualie Truck. Im running 255/85R16 tires - dual rear axle. Im interested in options fo the back. My #1 purpose is for Highway driving, and Id imagine I may use them offroad in a pinch. What should I be looking at? Couldnt use your year/make/model as these tires are not stock size.

If you plan on driving mostly snow-covered highways with chains on the 255/85R16 dually tires for your 2001 Ford F-350 then I recommend the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains for Dual Tires # TC4231 because they have a twist link style that will be a little more comfortable on the harder surface. The only other option is the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains # TC4831 which have V-Bar Links that are a little better for off-road purposes and/or ice as they provide some additional grip with the studded links.
It would be helpful to also use tire chain adjusters like part # TCMA2 to help keep your chains tight against the tires.
Please note that each state has specific guidelines for using chains. I highly recommend looking up what those are prior to installing and using these chains. Tire chains should never be used when the highway is clear as you will damage your tires and the highway.
