Recommended Bike Rack Options For a Recumbent Bike

I have a long-wheelbase recumbent bike. How far apart can the 2 wheel holders be moved? Or, asked another way, Whats the widest possible distance = longest bike wheelbase that the rack can accommodate? Thanks

I have an option that will work for you, but the rack that you referenced is not designed for recumbent bikes. It won't support the wheelbase or the wide seat on recumbent bikes.

Instead, I recommend the Swagman XC Platform Style Bike Rack, # S64650-EXT, for two wheel recumbent bikes. This bike rack has extended wheel platforms and will fit bikes with wheelbases up to 68 inches. If you plan on mounting two recumbent bikes, then you will need to mount the bikes facing opposite directions so the wide seats do not interfere with each other. I would also recommend the Locking Anti-Rattle hitch pin, # S64029, to keep the bike rack stable during trips. The Swagman XC bike rack will fit 2 inch or 1-1/4 inch hitches depending on the size of the receiver of your hitch.
