Recommended Lift Kit for Adding 2 Inches of Height To Tandem Axle Trailer

Question:

We would like to add some higher spacers to our Equiflex tandem axle suspension, the rear of the trailer is low due to our truck getting a minor lift and we can make no more adjustments to the hitch. The stats on our trailer state Dry Axle Weight ~Lbs 6405, we would like to raise it at least 2 inches, what spacers do you recommend?

There are two alternatives available, one that's a sure thing and one that's a possibility, depending on the current height of your spring hangers.

The # RR23QX Tandem axle lift kit will bolt right up, providing almost 2 inches of additional lift with no welding required.

Depending on the current height of your front, back and center spring hangers (measure from the center of the bolt hole that secures the spring to the underside of the frame member where the hangers mount) taller hangers might be available but they'd need to be welded on. If you'd care to reply with the center bolt to mount height of the front, center and rear hangers on your trailer, I'd be happy to check on the availability taller hangers.

As far as the # K71-360-00 kit goes, different shackle and equalizer lengths isn't necessarily going to net you the height change you're looking for, as the suspension will spread out once the trailer is placed on the ground.
