Best Parts Needed to Flat Tow 2019 Jeep Wrangler JL Recommendation

Question:

Help! After research we still need advice on what base plate and other items to buy to tow our new jeep behind our Gulfstream BT Cruiser model 5316 7 way connector. It looks like a factory plastic bumper?? see pics . So will this base plate work? We would like to use the SM99243 and an easy to use aluminum tow bar as we are both pretty crippled up and cannot stand or lift much. Maybe a wireless magnetic tail light wiring kit? How about a high-low adapter? rock guard? Anything else? We have to pay someone to install it all. Thank you!

Thanks for the picture of your 2019 Jeep Wrangler! Based on that we know that you do have the plastic bumper so the Roadmaster base plate kit part # RM-521453-4 is the correct fit and will work great. It's the easiest to use option to so I think you'll like it the best.

The lightest weight and easiest to use compatible tow bar is the aluminum Roadmaster Nighthawk part # RM-676 which would be your best option for sure.

The # SM99243 is also a really great option so you are on the right track there as well. You do need a stoplight switch too with part # RM-751000.

For ease of use I would recommend you go with a diode wiring kit as once installed it's much easier to deal with than a magnetic kit. Plus it allows the tow vehicle to control the Wrangler taillights which is easier for other motorists to see. For that you'll need the part # RM-154.

Most likely you will also need a high low adapter so that the tow bar will be level when you are flat towing. I attached a link to a page that has all of the ones we carry.

I have included a couple of helpful links to our articles on flat towing for you. Be sure to consult the vehicle owners manual for more specific information on flat towing your vehicle.
