Troubleshooting Trailer Lighting That Stops Working When Headlights of Vehicle are On
Question:
for some reason my tail lights on my pop up camper work during the day but not at night it seems like they are running off my truck sensor as soon as it gets day light out side my tail lights come on the camper

Typically when we see this issue it's due to an insufficient ground that is created due to the extra amperage draw on the charging system when the headlights are on. Cleaning up the grounding of the trailer or otherwise improving it normally takes care of this issue.
