Recommended Bike Rack Options for 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Bike Rack Suggestion. I have a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Which hitch 2 rack is for me? Also my bike does not have a straight across bar. Do I necessarily require a bar?

There are a number of great options for a bike rack for your 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee that will fit in a 2" hitch like the Draw-Tite # 75699. I'll give you a few choices so you can make an informed decision so you can get on your bike as soon as possible. And since these are all platform racks, an adapter bar won't be needed.

The first rack I recommend checking out is the Kuat Transfer # KU74FR because it is a premium rack at a budget-friendly price (relative to bike racks) and securely holds your bike by the wheels as opposed to the frame. It is also simple to use and has a foot pedal which allows you to tilt or fold the rack. It does not have the capacity of the Freedom EX though its price relative to its quality makes it very hard to beat.

The other option I'll give is the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider 2 Bike Platform Rack # HR200Z which is a solid, no-nonsense rack that simply gets the job done of carrying your bikes from Point A to Point B. It does have a locks to help protect the rack and your bike from would-be thieves but apart from that it is relatively simple: a frame mount with wheel hoops and ratcheting hooks to keep your bike firmly in place as you head to your destination.
