Installing the Curt Echo and ETBC7 Kit On a 2015 Honda Pilot
Question:
Planning to install the ETBC 7 kit to convert my SUV from 4 flat plug to 7 round flat pin wiring. Plan to use for my trailer brakes with Curt Echo wireless brake controller. I figure I will need to run the double wire to positive battery terminal and install 30amp in line fuse per directions. There are no backup lights, so wont need to use the yellow wire. White to ground of vehicle near hitch? Any other wires I need to hook up?

If you will be using the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 then the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation part # ETBC7 is exactly what you need. In regards to installing this, all you will need to do is run the black wire that comes with the kit from the black wire on the back of the 7-way up to the vehicle's battery with the 30 amp circuit breaker in between and then ground the white wire from the back of the 7-way to a bare metal surface anywhere on the frame. The remaining blue and yellow wires can just be taped up and left unhooked.
