Can Supplemental Braking for Flat Towing Vehicle Be Used if Vehicle and Power Assist Braking is Off

Question:

I understand that the battery should be disconnected on the towed vehicle and you should run the two vehicle lights from your rvs lighting system....but just wondering how the braking system works properly with out the tow vehicle runningwhich would activate the power braking system? I assume the cylinder pushes hard enough on the pedal to still properly apply braking?

You are correct, the Roadmaster BrakeMaster System w BrakeAway for RVs w Air or Air Over Hydraulic Brakes # RM-9160 pushes hard enough on the brake pedal to compensate for the power assist brakes not being active.

It's like if you've ever tried to stop a vehicle with the engine off and the brakes were really hard to press but they still did work if you pressed hard enough. That's how hard this kit is designed to press the pedal.
