Can Install of K-Source Mirror for 1987 Toyota Pickup Be Complete from Outside of Truck

Can a replacement mirror be installed from the outside of the truck door. Does it take special tools?

The install of the K-Source Replacement Side Mirror # KS70003T that you referenced is all on the outside of the truck and does not take any special tools. Basically you pry off the cover of the base and then remove two screws and the mirror easily comes off. Reverse the process for the install of the new mirror.
