Bike Rack Recommendations For 2018 Ford Edge SEL

I need a trunk mounted I dont have a hitch bike rack for a 2018 Ford Edge SEL..please help

I recommend the Saris Bones EX 3 Bike Rack - Adjustable Arms - Trunk Mount part # SA803 for the 2018 Ford Edge SEL. It fits all models of the Ford Edge and carries 3 bikes. The Saris Bones is a great option because of it's anti-sway cradles that secure the bikes to the rack. It also features adjustable arms so there is less of a need for a bike frame adapter bar on women's and children's bikes.

While I do think the Saris Bones trunk mounted rack is a great option for you, however if you would like to put a hitch and bike rack on your vehicle, that option is much more convenient for frequent use. Sometimes trunk mounted bike racks can become cumbersome because you have to take it off the vehicle every time you want to open the hatch.

If you decide to put a hitch on the Ford Edge, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13234 because the installation is a bit easier compared to the other options. Then you can use the Swagman Trailhead, # S63380 that carries 4 bikes and can be tilted away for rear cargo access. I have attached a video for your reference. I do recommend to get the adapter bar for this bike rack part # 64005 for bike racks that have slanted top cross tube so that the bike hangs level on the bike rack.
