Which Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution System is Correct for a Jayco Jay Flight SLX 8 267BHS
Question:
Last year I purchased a Jayco 2019 267 BHS SLX 8. The info for the trailer says the unloaded weight is 5690 pounds. The dry hitch weight is 670 pounds. Gross vehicle rating is 7,000 pounds. All of these weights are not including any propane tanks or battery and any dealer extras. I guess my questions is what is the tongue weight you expect to have for this trailer? I can tell you what size Blue Ox bars I got and had to get after you reply to my question. But trying to see what you think. I can also tell you what the tongue weight is. I will give you all the info I didnt provide in the email when you reply. Trying to see what you think it should be.

Helpful Expert Reply:
The tongue weight of your 2019 Jayco Jay Flight SLX 8 267BHS I estimate to be between 700 and 1,000 lbs while loaded. That said, if you want to be exact then we have the etrailer Trailer Tongue Weight Scale part # e99044 for this exact purpose. It sounds like you are trying to find the proper Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution for this trailer and if that is the case then I recommend part # BXW1006 which is rated for up to 1,000 lbs and comes with the part # BXW4007.
