Right Side Trailer Brake Light Stays On With No Signals Applied
Question:
wow...really stumped. left side peterson trailer lights work fine. right side really odd. brake light on continually, no turn signal. ground to trailer ok. wiring appears fine. checked plug, used dia electric grade on connections????

If the right side brake light comes on as soon as the trailer is plugged in with no signal applied and the left side is working fine then that leads be to believe you have a short on the right side brake/turn signal wire. I know you said the wiring appeared to be fine but what you really need to do is test this wire with a circuit tester and work your way back to the trailer connector. This will help you identify where the short is occurring. I also recommend that you run a jumper wire from the ground on the trailer connector to the right side tail light.
