235/85R16 Tire For Heavy Trailer That Keeps Blowing Tires

Question:

we are having a rash of tire failures , mostly broken belts . Many are not that old a year or so of use. The trailers sit for a month or so then travel 100 miles max round trip for a few days, then get parked for a few weeks. We have single and double axle dump trailers, and double axle flat bed trailers that we haul a medium sized back hoe. Air pressure is maintained at 75-80 psi. We run 235/85R16 s in load range E. Whatcha got that will last? We never wear out the treads. Picture is of a HiRun that we installed this spring.

I recommend the Kenda Karrier ST235/85R16 Radial Trailer Tire part # AM10501. This tire is an upgrade to a load Range F and can handle 3,960 lbs at 110 psi or 3,520 lbs at 110 psi for a dual application. I don't know how heavy your trailers are but you want to make sure you are not exceeding the weight capacity of the tires to avoid failure. It is also a good idea to run these tires at max PSI to avoid heat build up that leads to blow outs. Tire manufacturers require the tire to be used at max PSI to avoid failure which may have been the issue in the past with your bad tires. If the weight capacity of the tires was not enough for the weight of the trailer and it's cargo then this load range upgrade will give you a higher capacity.
