Weight Distribution Hitch Compatibility with Airbag Suspension

Question:

We have a 2019 Ram 1500 Limited with automatic airbag suspension. Is there anything preventing us from using this hitch?

You can use both a weight distribution system like the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution w/ 4-Point Sway Control - No Shank - 12,000 lbs GTW, 1,200 lbs TW # EQ37121ET and an air spring suspension enhancement but most manufacturers will recommend automatic leveling systems be disabled when using the weight distribution system. That being said, you will need a weight distribution system that can handle your total tongue weight. Your total tongue weight is the loaded tongue weight of your trailer plus the weight of any cargo loaded in your truck bed behind the rear axle. Air bags should not need to be used to compensate for sag from using a weight distribution system on your trailer.
