Recommended Trailer Wheels/Tires with 4 Bolt Pattern and higher than 65 MPH Speed Rating

Question:

Going on a long distance trip need best 4 lug pattern tires and rim for homemade trailer.Need a tire for speeds up over 65 no fenders an load less than 1000 lbs.

The Taskmaster 4.80-12 Bias Trailer Tire - Load Range C Item # TTWSF48012C should be a good option for you as it has an 81 mph speed rating, 4 on 4" bolt pattern, and 990 lb (per side) weight capacity. I am not sure what size tire you have now but since there are no fenders the overall diameter will not matter. However, you will need to make sure you have adequate frame clearance for the 4.75" section width of the above tire. This tire does not come mounted on a wheel. We don't have any pre-mounted in this size with the higher speed rating.

For a wheel, you could use the popular Dexstar Steel Mini Mod Trailer Wheel - 12" x 4" Rim - 4 on 4 - White Powder Coat # AM20140, or any other 12 inch wheel in the 4 on 4 bolt pattern and then have it mounted at a local shop.
