Can Hub and Drum be Used When Trailer Doesnt Have Brakes

Can I use these on a non brake axle and is the price for one or is it for the pair? I would like to find idler hubs if they make them.

We have heard of people being able to use a hub and drum assembly like part # 8-407-5UC3-EZ you referenced in place of an idler hub so I can't really say it won't work, but I definitely recommend trying to find an idler hub assembly that will work so that you are using equipment for what it was intended for. The assembly you asked about comes with just 1 hub and drum assembly so you'd need to order 2 for each of your axles.

With that being said, there are no idler hubs that use the same bearings and seal as the kit you mentioned above. If you can measure your spindle where the inner/outer bearings ride as well as the grease seal (see attached photo) with a digital caliper, then I can see if we have an idler hub that matches your application.
