What Are the Rise and Drop Settings Of the Draw-Tite Adjustable Ball Mount 6580

Question:

Im getting ready to tow a bass boat with a Ford Escape. Since the receiver pin hole is only 32 inch behind the center of the rear axle, Im worried about having to back the vehicle too far into the water when launching and retrieving. I plan on using an adjustable mount to tow with a 2inch , then lower the at the launch ramp to make the front of the boat float without backing in as far into the water. It looks like the receiver end can be flipped to change the range. What are the possible settings with this mount?

Correct, you can invert the Draw-Tite Adjustable Ball Mount part # 6580 to give you a rise instead of a drop. Furthermore, there are three adjustment holes on the ball mount portion to give an even greater range. The rise/drop dimensions are as follows:

Inverted, First Hole: 3-1/8" Rise
Inverted, Middle Hole: 4-5/8" Rise
Inverted, Last Hole: 6-1/8" Rise

Standard, First Hole: 4-3/8" Drop
Standard, Second Hole:5-7/8" Drop
Standard, Last Hole: 7-3/8" Drop
