Easy Solution to Allow 2018 Toyota Tundra to Tow Trailer with Electric Over Hydraulic Brakes

Question:

Will this adapter allow my Tundra to see and work with my EOH system? Currently the trailer does not show up on the dash display even when it is hooked up. There are no markings on the hydraulic unit and it came with the trailer. I have towed with a 2016 Tundra and had no issues. My Current Tundra connects normally with my two axle car trailer magnet style brakes without any issues

Since the Titan adapter you mentioned only works with Titan electric over hydraulic adapters and it doesn't look like you have a Titan (or any brand we carry) the best solution I have for you is to replace the controller you have now with one that is electric over hydraulic compatible without the use of an adapter.

For that the easiest and best solution is the Curt Echo part # C51180 which basically will just plug into your 7-way (your trailer then into it) and once you sync it to your smart phone it's ready to go. This is a proportional brake controller that senses how hard you are applying the vehicle brakes and applies a proportional amount of braking power to your trailer brakes.
