Do RV Power Awnings Have Motors in Both Heads or Just One
Question:
I have a Dometic 2 Step Awning with a 21foot width. Do both replacement arms have a motor in them? If only 1 is it the right hand or left hand if I am facing the trailer? I am trying to figure out how I would wire both arms if they both have a motor in them.

Expert Reply:
Power RV awnings have a power head and an idler head. The power head has the motor in it and the idler does not. As you are facing the awning the arm on the right hand side is the one with the motor in it.
