How to Determine if Curt Dual Hitch Extender Will Allow Rear Hatch to Open

Question:

Please let me know if this will give me the clearance room I need for opening the rear hatch it lifts up of my 2015 Suburu Forrester 2.0 Touring edition small SVU or , will I have to, remove the hitch extender, each and every time that I try to raise the back hatch? The cargo rack folds-articulates up but extends down for hauling item. I plan to use the lower 2 x2 port for my trailer and boat and then upper one for my planned, aluminum cargo carrier. Thank you!,

While I am confident it will allow your hatch to open, we have not tested the Curt Dual Hitch Extender for 2" Trailer Hitches - 8" Extension # D-192 on a 2015 Subaru Forester we do have some dimensions that will allow you to determine if the rear hatch will be able to lift up with the extender in.

The extender measures 5 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the top receiver and is approximately 5-1/2 inches from the top of the bottom receiver to the top of the upper receiver.

I have added links to video reviews of this extender for you to check out as well.
