Can the Roadmaster InvisiBrake be Used to Tow a 2015 Chevy Malibu Behind a Truck w/o Air Brakes
Question:
I want to install an invisabrake on a 2015 Chevy Malibu, towed behind a truck without air brakes. What unit do I need and how does it power my towed cars power brakes?

Expert Reply:
The Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System # RM-8700 actually activates the towed vehicle (your 2015 Chevy Malibu) brakes when the towing vehicle brake lights are illuminated. It doesn't need to be connected to an air system like some other supplemental braking systems out there.
For your Malibu you do also need to install the Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751466 to ensure that the system works properly.
Please note that for a complete flat towing setup you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. If you do not have all of these other components just let me know and I can make some additional recommendations for you.
