Question:

If the capacity is 16,500 pounds. What is the 3,300 pound working capacity mean? Several people have asked but don’t see any replies. Could someone please clarify exactly what that means? Thank you.

A safety chain's working load limit (WLL) is always 1/3 of the chain's break strength and it is the limit you want to stay within in normal use. The part # C82932 has a break capacity of 16,500 lbs and a working load limit of 3,300 lbs. This means If you were planning to secure something that weighs 3,300 lbs this would be ideal. And it would hold it well till the force exerted on it exceeded 16,500 lbs.
