The B&W Underbed Gooseneck Hitch, part # BWGNRK1012, will fit your 2012 GMC Sierra 3500HD with the 8 foot bed and single rear wheels.

The installation of the gooseneck hitch does not require any drilling into the frame. The installation frame brackets will use existing holes in the frame. You will need to drill two 1/2-inch holes in the truck bed, on each side of the hitch ball for the safety chain U-bolts to fit into. You will also need to drill a 4-inch diameter hole in the truck bed for the gooseneck hitch ball to go through.

I am including a link to the installation instructions on the B&W hitch. These are very detailed instructions with pictures that will give you an idea of what is involved in the installation.

If you will be needing to add an extra 7-Way to the bed of your Sierra I would recommend the Curt Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Wiring Harness, part # C56000. This harness will plug into your existing harness and give you an additional 7-Way in the truck bed. See attached video link of this wiring harness being installed on a truck.
