Can RockyMounts BackStage 2 Bike Platform Rack Fit 2018 Silverado and Tilt to Allow Tailgate Open
Question:
Is it possible to open the tailgate of a 2015 GMC Sierra without any of the bikes on the rack without swinging the bike rack to the side? What is the height of the highest point when the bike rack is in platform mode and when it is tilted down?

When we installed the RockyMounts BackStage 2 Bike Platform Rack # RKY10002 on a 2018 Chevy Silverado (same generation as your 2015 Sierra) we found that with the rack all the way folded down and tilted there was enough clearance for the tailgate to open fully. See attached review video.
