Recommended Replacement Electric Winch For Boat Trailer

I've spoken with Master Lock, and have been told that the clutch is damaged and that the winch should be replaced. The winch carries a 1 year warranty, so if you're still within that period you can contact the merchant where you purchased the winch about how to use your warranty.
To replace the winch altogether, I'd recommend a higher quality more reliable winch such as the Dutton-Lainson # DL25010. This winch has a higher capacity than needed, but for an electric winch excess capacity means that the motor won't have to work hard with will result in longer life. The winch uses a convenientr emote control, and also features an emergency hand crank that can be used in the event that your battery dies.
