Where to Cut Measurement Strip When Installing Rhino Rack Roof Rack on 2006 Honda Accord
Question:
I have a 2006 Honda Accord Sedan, naked roof. I have RRRLKVA 2500 series legs, the DK030 fit kit. But I up-sized to 54inch 1380mm RRVA137B-2 bars instead of the 46inch 1180mm RRVA118B-2 bars that are described by the fitment kit instructions. Following the fitment kit instructions for the 46inch bars using the 54inch bars sets the legs too wide on the car. The 46inch bar cuts the measurement strip at 130mm for the front and 141mm for the back. On the 54inch bar, the notches for the measurement strips are separated by 780mm. Where do I need to cut the measurement strips for the 54inch bar? Or, asking the same thing a different way, how many mm separate the measurement strip notches on the 46inch bar?

You would basically need to add 8 inches to the dimensions you have for the 46 inch bars since you went with the 54 inch bars instead. 8 inches in millimeters is 203 mm so this would be difference in mm between the measurement info you have for the shorter bars and the longer bars. The part numbers you have then are # RRVA137B-2, # RRRLKVA, and DK030.
