How To Wire a Blade Style 7-Way On a Tractor To Pull RV

Question:

This socket does not have a spot for the yellow wire. So which area do I put it. I am converting my tractor class 8 to be able to tow my 53 foot trailer with Dexter 12K axles electric. I purchase everything suggested to complete the task but no spot for the yellow wire.

The wires that you attach to the rear of the Pollak Black Plastic 7-Pole, RV Blade-Style Trailer Socket part # PK12-707E will need to be chosen based on function, not color. Therefore, if you can tell me what function the yellow wire has I can then tell you which terminal to insert this in. If you don't know the function then you will need to test this with a circuit tester. Since you said you had a tractor most likely you need to combine the stop/brake light circuits with a converter such as the Roadmaster Brite-Lite Wiring Converter part # RM-732. This again will need to be wired to the tractor/trailer connector by function, not color.
