Will Cover for Fan-Tastic Vent Affect Motor When Lid Cannot Fully Open

From reading the comments, it looks as though most easy to install vent covers dont allow for enough height for a Fantastic Fan to fully open. Does the inability to fully open damage the Fantastic Fans vent motor since it will be pushing on the vent cover?

The best cover available for your Fan-Tastic Roof Vent is the Ultra Breeze # FVU1500GR, as it allows the vent to open more than other models. As you mentioned though it will still prevent the lid from opening all the way.
We have actually spoken with Fan-Tastic Vent in the recent past about your very question and they assured us that the lid not fully opening has no affect on the motor at all. This is completely safe and it won't cause any damage.
