How Tight to Tighten Thule Quick Mount Mounting Hardware
Question:
For the TH04997, how much should I tighten down the knobs? Should they be hand tight, or should I use a tool to tighten them down a little more? I have a 2011 Subaru Outback. Thanks.

Helpful Expert Reply:
You should hand tighten the knobs of the Replacement QM3 # TH04997. Anything beyond that is overkill and might damage the hardware/box.
