Can Bolt be Used to Attach Safety Chains to Trailer Frame
Question:
I just bought some safety chains to upgrade the skimpy ones on my tandem axle 16foot enclosed trailer. Is it ok to drill a hole and attach chains to trailer frame with a bolt? Or...??

Yes, it is perfectly fine to use a bolt to attach the safety chains of your trailer. I would recommend taking the chains to your local hardware store and getting the largest diameter Grade 8 bolt that will fit into the chain links.
