Will 5th Airborne Pin Box Work Well with Air Suspension of 2015 Ram 2500

Question:

I have a 2015 Ram 2500 with full factory air ride suspension on the rear. No springs whatsoever. I tow a 2008 keystone copper canyon 294fwbhs fifth wheel. Gross weight rating on the trailer is 11,600 lbs and its probably 10,500-11,000 lbs how we tow it. My truck doesnt ride bad when towing it but Im wondering if the extra money is worth it for the fifth airborne sidewinder vs the standard sidewinder. I use an Andersen hitch currently and cant say I, or my wife, notice an obnoxious amount of movement while traveling down the road with the trailer. Im unsure if the air ride suspension combined with the air ride kingpin will somehow counteract one another, if thats possible, or if Ill even notice a difference with the airborne since Im on full air ride suspension already. Any experience or input on this? Thanks

Air suspension enhancement is perfectly compatible with a cushioned pin box like the 5th Airborne Sidewinder part # RP61422 that you referenced. If you are looking for the best ride quality the 5th Airborne Sidewinder is the way to go. The ride will be night and day smoother from the Andersen hitch you have currently.

The air suspension of your truck is not going to really make a difference in terms of smoothness with towing like what a cushioned pin box was designed for.
