Replacement Adjustable Shank with 9 Inch Drop for Reese Weight Distribution System
Question:
Just purchased a 2017 ram 1500. Hitch is much higher than last vehicle so I need a new weight distribution 9 in drop shank. My current set up is all Reese. Will a Curt shank match up with my Reese head? The pic is of my current shank. Can you reccomend a replacement with a 9 in drop? Thanks

Yes, the Curt Shank # C17124 that you referenced will work perfectly with your Reese Weight Distribution System. Adjustable shanks are the one component on a weight distribution system that is pretty interchangeable between different brands/manufacturers.
The mounting holes on the Curt are spaced apart by 1-1/4 inches on center, which matches the hole spacing for your existing Reese # RP54970. This shank will provide a 10 inch drop if you have a round bar system or a 9 inch drop if you have a trunnion bar system.
