Sway Bar and Suspension Enhancement for 2000 Tiffin Allegro Bay 34-Foot Motorhome

Question:

2000 Tiffin Allegro Bay 34 feet GCWR 26,000. Suggest which Sumospring would be best. A lot of sway and the ride is horrible. I know its old but only 50,000 miles.

We can help you with suspension enhancement for your 2000 Tiffin Allegro Bay that is built on the Ford F-53 chassis.

The SuperSprings kits you can use will depend on the coach's GVWR. If your coach has a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26K then it may have a GVWR of more like 22,000-lbs in which case you can use rear axle kit # SSR-181-54-1 which is designed for vehicles with a GVWR between 20,000 and 22,000-lbs. This and similar kits for other coach weights appear on the linked page. For a front axle kit we have # SSF-172-40-2 which is designed for vehicles with a GVWR between 16,000 and 22,000-lbs. If you want to verify the GVWR with Tiffin you'll need to have the VIN handy when you contact them.

We also have sway bars, shown on the other linked page, which again are selected based on the coach GVWR; there is a drop-down menu tool at the top of the page that will let you select your GVWR to then see only the sway bars that are appropriate for that weight. For instance, for a 22K GVWR you can use front anti-sway bar # RM-1139-148 which will reduce sway and the driver fatigue that comes with it.
