Expert Reply:
If your 2000 Dodge Ram has a 7-Way connector at the back, then the wiring harness, # 20027, will fit. But, what I recommend is to install wiring in the bed as opposed to using an extension.
If your Ram came with a factory installed 7-Way connector, you can use # 50-97-410. This harness plugs in line with the factory harness beneath the truck. The connector will be installed in the bed of the truck for easy access.
