Horsepower and Torque Gains From the Superchips Flashpaq F5 On a 2017 Chevy Silverado with 6.2

Question:

2017 1500 Silverado 6.2L 8 speed tranny Ive put a 5inch lift and near 35inch tires on my factory 20s. Ive also installed SandB cold air kit. What torque/hp gains are being gotten? Since I put the lift on the truck Ive noticed it acts more like a diesel on takeoff almost like it has to spool up to gain the power I guess it has to get the RPMs up to ever gain the power so the torque is what Im more interested in? When I had the truck stockon a trip I was getting right around 20 miles per gallon but now on a trip Im down to about 17 maybe 17 and a half. Last but not least it seems like I could do more by adjusting the transmission I wish those trucks would come out with options for gears lower end gears for the guys that want to lift those trucks but from some of the prices I have got quoted to switch gears its not worth it.

I do have an option for you but the Edge EvoHT2 Hand-Held Performance Tuner part # EP26040 is not a fit for your 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with the 6.2L engine and 8 speed transmission. However, we do still have an option for you in the Superchips Flashpaq F5 Performance Tuner part # SU2847. The Flashpaq F5 will provide your Silverado with increases up to 23HP and 22TQ while in the performance tune mode. It will also allow you to re-tune your speedometer to get a more accurate reading which was likely through off with the installation of the larger diameter tires

In regards to reduced takeoff speed, the larger diameter tires you have are what is causing this. The Flashpaq F5 gives you more power so you will be able to get off the liner quicker but a higher gear ratio as you mentioned would be the best improvement for this. That said, this would also cause a rather strong decrease in MPG's while at highway speed. The Flashpaq F5 would be a good option regardless because even if you did go with a higher gear ratio you would still need this to re-tune the ECU for that anyway.
