Slider Sticking on B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch
Question:
My slider hitch seems to stick. When it slides any suggestions on how to eliminate this problem. My pin weight is 3000 lbs. I thought about grease on the bars or does bandw have something. When there isn’t any weight it functions perfectly

I reached out to my contact at B&W regarding the issue you're having with the sliding mechanism on your Companion Slider 5th Wheel Hitch # BWRVK3400. He said there are a couple of things you can do to alleviate the sticking you're getting when the hitch is under load.
You can indeed apply a light coat of white lithium grease like # L11354 to the slider rails to help with movement. This shouldn't be something you have to do regularly but it should definitely help to improve this issue when it comes up.
Something else you can look at is the hex bolts that are physically attaching the carriage to the slider rails. There are 4 bolts total on each side of the carriage but you only need to focus on the top two. My contact recommends simply backing these bolts off by just a 1/4 turn. This should loosen up the connection a bit to allow for easier movement.
I made and attached an image just pointing out those bolts in question that you can use for reference.
