Difference in Height Between Demco and Curt 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Ram 5th Wheel Prep Package
Question:
I bought the curt ram oem puck adapter, r20 roller, and A20 hitch. The adapter itself sits very high and is making my camper sit way too high, while adjusted to the lowest setting. I was told there’s no shorter adapter. I found an adapter made by Demco. Part # 6099. This adapter appears to be significantly shorter and sits a lot closer to the bed. Could you verify this for me please? You guys sell it.

The differences in height between the two adapters is very minimal. The Adapter Rails for Curt 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider - Ram Towing Prep Package # C16022 adds 1-1/2" to the height of a hitch while the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Ram OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package # DM6099 adds 1-3/8" to the height of a hitch. So the Demco is just 1/8" lower than the option from Curt.
