If the wiring leading to the clearance lights in the trailer light kit, # TL5RK, have power but the lights do not light up, there could be a couple of problems. First, you are going to want to check the ground connection. These lights ground through a mounting stud. Make sure that they are attached to a bare metal surface that is not painted and that there is no dirt or corrosion.

If the issue is not a bad ground, you can check the lights off of the trailer by attaching them to a battery, but again make sure it is properly grounded. If they do not light up then the bulbs could be bad.

If they do light up, then it is possible that the addition of clearance lights is too much power draw on the electrical system. If you are replacing lights and not adding them, the new lights may draw more power than the old lights but it does not seem likely.
