Can 4-Way Flat Extension be Used to Connect Trailer Wiring on 2000 Jeep Wrangler to RV 4-Way Flat
Question:
Wrangler has hitch wiring , rv has hitch wiring , both are 4 wire , will a simple long jumper from rv to Jeep hitch wire connection light it up ? Do you make one ?

I believe you are referring to the 4-Way Flat connector on your 2000 Jeep Wrangler that is used for towing a trailer. If this is the case then an extension won't work as the current wiring on your Wrangler is designed to send power and not receive it. Instead what you need is a tow bar wiring kit that is designed to receive power and activate the lights on your Wrangler. For your application I recommend the Tow Ready Tail Light Isolating Diode System # TR118821 because it comes with the extension that you need and it has a much simpler installation than the other kits that splice in.
For a complete flat towing setup you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. If you do not have all of these components just let me know and I can make some additional recommendations for you.
