Is Wall Thermostat Needed When Installing Atwood Air Command Air Conditioner # AT15028-22

Model #68rv14102a It has a remote thermostate that also runs gas furnace does not have a wall thermostate will I have to put 1 in?

When installing the Atwood Air Command Rooftop RV Air Conditioner # AT15028-22 you will need to install the included wall-mounted thermostat for proper operation, even if you already have a thermostat in place. We have actually talked with Dometic/Atwood about this in the past and they verified this.

If this is a concern I recommend taking a look at the Advent Air # ACCAR150 instead, which is actually specifically designed to replace a Carrier setup like what you have. Because of this it includes wiring that plugs directly into your existing Carrier harness so you can continue to use your current thermostat and vent. This system also comes with a start capacitor to help conserve power when starting up the AC.
