Is Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter Compatible with Spinning Hitch Ball

Will this work on a 2016 Ram that has a Curt gooseneck plate where the ball is not fixed, it can always spin?

Yes, the Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter for Recessed Ball # DM8550046 is compatible with a gooseneck hitch ball that can spin. It basically clamps to the hitch ball and then pulls up to put pressure on the hitch ball which keeps it from spinning. I have attached a photo from the linked instructions that goes over this.

Please note that the part you mentioned is for a recessed gooseneck hitch ball. If you have a standard gooseneck hitch ball (that doesn't sit recessed in the bed) then you need the Recon # DM8550045 instead. This installs the exact same way, it is just designed to install on a gooseneck ball that sits at normal gooseneck hitch ball height.
