Will a Trailer Hitch Fit on a 1994 Toyota Land Cruiser with a 315/75R16 Spare Tire
Question:
Will the # 41015 receiver hitch clear the 315/75R16 spare tire I carry under the rear of my 1994 Toyota Land Cruiser? The spare almost touches the back side of my bumper.

It looks like the stock tire size on the 1994 Toyota Land Cruiser is 275/70-16. I spoke with my contact at Draw-Tite and he stated that trailer hitch # 41015 is designed to fit on a vehicle with a stock size spare tire. Anything larger would not fit.
A 315/75R16 is going to be too large for the hitch to fit properly. If you could carry the tire somewhere else, in the cargo area or on the roof, you could install the hitch. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you.
To complete the towing set up I recommend the etrailer ball mount kit, # 989900, which comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a carrying bag. For trailer wiring, use # 33405.
