Recommended Mid-Range 4 Bike Rack for a 2015 Toyota Venza

Question:

Please help me decide on a new 4 bike rack. Our Swagman XTC4 was recently damaged in an accident and we are shopping for a replacement. We liked the solidity of the XTC4, but are thinking about upgrading a bit. Of the other choices, we’ve considered the Saris Freedom 4, Hollywood SE Sport Rider, Malone Pilot 4, and Swagman Quad. Which of these racks would fit our vehicle best and provide the most bike stability and ease of use?

All of the bike racks that you mentioned are great options but looking and comparing all of the features I recommend going with the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE 4 Bike Platform Rack # HR1400Z for a few reasons. It is the only bike rack you mentioned that has up to a 50 lb per-bike weight capacity, comes with both bike and rack locks, plus it has the ability to tilt away with your bikes loaded so that you can gain access to the rear hatch area of your 2015 Toyota Venza without the hassle of unloading the bikes first. Really the only disadvantage of this rack is that it weighs a whopping 81 lbs which makes it a bit more difficult to install and cuts into your tongue weigh. Since it has integrated locks though you can easily leave it on your vehicle and then fold the carrier up when not in use.
