Can I Replace Dometic Air Conditioner With Furrion Chill Air Conditioner and Use Dometic Thermostat

Question:

If so, will I need to replace the existing thermostat, which is a Dometic Model 3313192.XXX? Will I need any additional parts to complete the installation? May I use this unit to replace a ducted Dometic B59516.XX1J0?

You could replace the Dometic air conditioner with Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System - Manual - 15,000 Btu - White # FR92PR, it has a built-in thermostat with the controls directly on the unit. You cannot use your current thermostate because your Dometic thermostat would not be compatible. You wouldn't need anything else for the installation.

If you want to keep your Dometic thermostat, I recommend an Advent Air 15,000 Btu Air Conditioner for Dometic Setup, part # ACDOM150 in white or part # ACDOM150B in black. The Advent Air Conditioner plugs right into your Dometic Setup for easy installation, and you can keep your thermostat and vent assembly if you need to, but it does work with ducted and non-ducted systems.
