How To Stromberg Carlson Electric Jack # JET-5000
Question:
I tried to use the toggle switch sometimes it’ll let it down sometimes it won’t. It will lead it down then I have to work with it trying to get it back up it is brand new just put it on . What do you think would be wrong with it .

The fact the your Stromberg Carlson Electric Jack # JET-5000 sometimes works and sometimes doesn't work sounds like you have a ground issue. The ground connection on the Stromberg Carlson # JET-5000 are through the mounting flange so if your trailer is painted you would need to sand down the mounting location for metal to metal contact. Sometimes the switches do go bad in the jacks but I don't think that is your case considering your jack is brand new.
You do want to make sure your power wire from the jack has a good connection to a well charged battery and the battery is grounded.
