If One Brake Caliper is Leaking do Both Calipers Need to be Replaced

If you are just needing to replace the caliper, like part # K71-773-01, then no you don't have to replace the caliper on the other side of your trailer axle. If you were replacing something that sees normal wear like the brake pads or the rotor then yes you would need to replace both.

It is worth taking some time though to check your other caliper to make sure it is in good working condition. If the one you are messing with now is malfunctioning due to age then it would be a good idea to go ahead and replace both while you have your trailer out of commission so that you don't have to repeat this same process later down the road.
